Walking through Times Square on my way to work, I feel the electric energy stirring in this city.
My imagination soaring unfettered to new heights and endless possibility.
I look past the streets filled with cars honking, traffic lights turning red, yellow and green.
Dreaming my wildest dream of a future built upon a promise, yet unforeseen.
The towering skyscrapers welcome my ambition, fueling me from dusk to dawn,
Shaping my today for a hopeful tomorrow under any condition.
I unplug from work with a run to Columbus Circle, stepping into Central Park on a casual night,
Winding through trails around the oval Lake, the skyline glimmering in clear sight.
Humbled by its beauty, my thoughts slow down and stop altogether.
There is nothing I feel I cannot do, for I am in a place like no other,
Home where I belong, where miracles come true
Now and then on a midsummer night, when the air is crisp and the crescent moon shines its light,
I lay out on the grass underneath the stars ever so bright.
As I look to the moon and gaze at the starry cascade, my mind lets go and unwinds,
Curiosities bursting through layers of inner blinds.
I fall into a moonlit dream, drifting past stars and constellations glittering in space,
Thinking about my life and purpose in this magical, pensive place.
I ride a shooting star to the moon and back, finding answers to questions I’ve wanted to ask,
My spirit lifted, feeling gifted, my mind at ease, my soul at peace.
I wake up from this dream to a glowing night,
The stars twinkling and the moon smiling, a refreshing sight.
“Listen to your voice and follow your passion”, I hear them say,
There is always a place for you amongst us, no matter the night or day.
Does my personality line up with what the stars spell out for me?
Once in a while I wonder, my mind diving to the deepest corners of the sea.
Am I an ambitious Aries ram, as bold as diamond can be,
Or a stubborn earthy Taurus bull, breathing emeralds and a love for serenity?
Do I moonstone through life with open arms, in twinning Gemini style?
Or walk the fine ruby line between mind and matter, Cancer crabs can waltz for miles.
Am I as spirited and passionate as Leo the lion, glowing in a peridot spotlight?
Or a practical and stoic Virgo maiden, a beacon of sapphire might.
Do I draw on my Libra scales, seeking equilibrium at every tourmaline?
Or channel a citrine Scorpio mindset, determined and driven in pursuit of cloud nine.
Am I a Sagittarius archer, shooting for topaz and knowledge with an optimistic mood?
Or a Capricorn goat, eager to climb mountains of garnets with a DIY attitude.
Do I resonate with the humanitarian Aquarius, bestowing water upon the amethyst land?
Or stay true to my two fish Pisces roots, imaginative till the last aquamarine strand.
Maybe my horoscope reflects who I am, telling me what I should do and who I can be.
Maybe my personality is its own blend of stars, a constellation unique to me.
The days and years will tell how I fare,
Till then, go about each day committed to your rare gem flair.
I find the courage to indulge my passions,
Craving the thrill of life, heart-racing attractions;
The adrenaline takes over in seconds and minutes,
Transforming into an obsession, a rush to find no limits;
I live on the edge where the view is better,
Fully alive, I embrace each new moment forever.
In moments of solitude, I wonder about what defines me,
As each day will be the oldest I’ve been, and the youngest I’ll ever be;
Lost in labyrinths of inward thought, I awaken in a flash,
Craving to be wild and free, a burning phoenix emerging from the ash;
I follow my heart’s bold desires and let my playful spirit fly,
Carving my own destiny against the whims of passersby;
I color my life with purpose, too bright for this world to see,
Leaving footprints in the sands of time of my colorful legacy.
Immersed in Nature, I sense the beauty of Mother Earth,
Awed by the innumerable eons of her journey from birth;
She lends me her oceans, mountains, and flowing streams,
Caring for her playground enriches how I live my dreams;
Exotic stones from her deepest bedrock shine light on her journey,
Reminding me to embrace the past and lead a life that is worthy;
Ten thousand generations hence, Mother will continue to be,
Wearing a glimpse of her beauty is a true honor for me.
The only star I know is called the sun,
A faithful guide on my morning run;
Rays of sunlight twist into my soul,
Fueling my inner free-spirit, making me whole;
Dancing and laughing, I spread my light,
Creating moments of joy, turning the world ever so bright.
To love and be loved is what I yearn for in my heart,
From my family, relatives and friends miles apart;
The warmth their love brings holds me together,
Giving my life meaning, transforming my world forever;
Everyday henceforth, I'll go wherever my heart takes me,
Living in the moment, loving freely.
